Controls are bad. This game is nicely built patterned after PS1-games like Spyro, Megaman, etc.But they had intuitive controls. Therefore, in this game, poor and hard to manage controls are unforgivable.. Today(Sept 25/17) I was emailed by the Devs asking me to have a lookat the latest update to the game! I have done so, and am happy I did! The quests function very well now and are easier, the targeting system works well and the game gets moving must faster and easier. Thank you and will continue down the crossroads soon!(First Look/Review)OKay first off let me make this clear the game is still in early access so things can change in due time. Now I will say this is a typical RPG game with a nice little story as all other goodies. However I did come across several annoying bugs like having to force myself out of the game just to get out of a dialogue box on multipule occassions. I also find it rather annoying that the quests are plenty but not easy enough to accomplish so you waste long hours just building up in the village before moving out of it. If I could share more I would but I am still stuck in the village trying to kill 10 dodo birds in 10 seconds... LOL anyway, I would really love to place a neutral vote on this game but I am forced to the thumbs down Maybe it will change in due time.. This is a great game. As a fan of similar games - Portal Knights, My Time at Portia, etc. - I couldn't wait to get this and I haven't been disappointed. It is slightly different in that there's no crafting or building, but your character will have to collect materials and resources from different locations to create potions. What I like about this game, in particular, is that you don't have enough slots to keep all your potions and spells at hand - you really have to think strategically as to which spells and potions will work better against the enemies. I also love the story line. You get it in pieces along the way, in the form of journals, flashbacks and memories. Overall, a great game and I can definitely see myself playing this again using the knowledge I've picked up along the way.. Amazing game by a amazing team, also I'm Kayn.. (I know I do!).Z-targeting / Enemy lockMastering kiting is super important in Tanzia (keeping an enemy chasing you while also keeping it at a range where it cannot attack you), you really need it if you plan on surviving the Emuri Village or any of the later areas. It’s super hard to kite properly using a gamepad, so we added a way to lock the camera to your target, so you can run around it and not destroy your fingers in the process. If you played Zelda64, you’ll feel right at home.Melee changesBefore, melee was treated like a spell, so you activated it, and waited for it to cool down to attack again. Now it works independently, you can attack at any time even if you don’t have a target. Using the gamepad you have a dedicated button for the attack, and best of all, now you can do a little 3-hit combo, it’s fun!We killed the pre-launcherAll the options that you used to find on the pre-launcher, now you’ll find on the settings menu.So now Tanzia is 100% compatible with Steam’s Big Picture Mode.
